From Harvard to Teaching to Accomplished Product Marketing Manager
Jessica Camacho is an accomplished Product Marketing Manager and former education professional with over 15 years of experience, beginning her illustrious career as a dedicated classroom teacher. Her journey in education started in the Clark County School District, where she taught kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and K-5 reading in general, inclusion, and accelerated classrooms.
During her nine years in the classroom, Jessica utilized best practices and the latest research to create meaningful learning experiences that not only catapulted learning scores but cultivated a love of learning. Additionally, she engaged in professional learning cycles, led committees, and built and expanded partnerships with school and community stakeholders.
From Teacher to Administrator
In August 2016, Jessica transitioned from classroom teaching to the district office, she was a Project Facilitator for the Clark County School District's English Language Learner Division.
Clark County ISD is the fifth largest in the nation with over 380 schools, 316,000 students and $3.87B annual budget. There are more than 100 languages spoken in the district, and it’s ELL Master Plan rollout–a comprehensive research-informed and districtwide initiative to increase support and growth among students and families whose primary language is not English.
For two years, she co-led the development, revision, and professional learning of district guidelines, teaching materials, and other resources for the district’s 80,000+ multi-, second, and foreign language learners.
Transitioning To Technology
Following her tenure at the Clark County School District, Jessica transitioned into the world of technology. She brought her extensive experience in education to roles that broaden her experiences, skillset, and reach.
Jessica has been an editor and writer since 2009, supporting doctoral candidates and self-publishing on platforms like Medium. Every November to January, since 2019, she has served as a seasonal Admissions Associate for the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she evaluated thousands of undergraduate applications.
Current Employment
In her role at CareerLearning of four years, she has continued to grow and adapt and learn, starting first as a focused presenter and then moving to product marketing management, where she has fine-tuned her email and website campaign optimization, content creation, and ICP marketing skills.
Additionally, she has developed and maintains strong relationships with other presenters, as well as clients and partners, ensuring long-term collaboration and mutual growth.
Jessica regularly reviews and maintains brand performance metrics, prepares comprehensive reports on recruitment efforts, and actively pursues state and institutional partnerships to expand the organization's reach.
Subject Matter Expertise and Speaking Engagements
As a subject matter expert and speaker, Jessica has presented on numerous topics within and beyond K12 education. Her expertise and presentation style have made her a sought-after speaker and consultant, helping organizations and individuals to create inclusive and effective learning environments. Her presentations have covered instructional strategy, English acquisition, and applications of generative AI/ChatGPT.
